FAMILY RECORD OF ARTIMACIE (BRACEWELL) BARNES

Artimacie BRACEWELL, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Steven) BRACEWELL, was born November 14, 1828, perhaps in Alabama. She died February 19, 1906, Marlin, Texas, and was perhaps buried in the McAdams Cemetery, Wacker County, Texas. She married Stephens F. Barnes who was born April 15, 1825, and died June 6, 1908. He was buried in the McAdams Cemetery. See pps. 131 and 169.

Joseph Benjamin BRACEWELL, was the second son of Joseph H. and Martha E. BRACEWELL. He was born July 17, 1863, and was married to Hollie E. Shanks October 20, 1886. She was born September 19, 1867. She was the second daughter of Flournoy and Maryen Shanks. Their children:

CEMETERY AND GRAVE MARKERS

ARKANSAS

GREEN FOREST PIONEER CEMETERY, is located one mile from the public square of Green Forest, Arkan- sas. In this cemetery are many early graves of BRASWELLs, most of which are marked only with initials. A record has been carefully preserved by Mrs. Annie Cates who kept the cemetery and a record of those interred there. Upon her death, she left the record with her nephew, Robert D. Graham, Jr. of California (see pg. 81).
